Planet of Lana is a phenomenal new cinematic puzzle journey sport from the Swedish indie studio, Wishfully. It was introduced throughout Summer Games Fest kick-off occasion on Thursday.

The story follows Lana, and her animal companion as they embark on a mission to save Lana’s sister. Their planet — which used to be a spot in excellent concord between human, nature — has fallen into chaos and now should endure a faceless military.

What’s attention-grabbing although, is that this sport expressly isn’t about struggle or battle. “This is a story about a vibrant, beautiful planet –and the journey to keep it that way,” a description from the developers said.

The world in Planet of Lana appears to be like beautiful. From what we noticed in the trailer, the sport boasts beautiful hand-painted graphics and a Miyazaki-esque world.

A launch shared that the visible fashion “combines hand-drawn artwork, complex parallax layering and subtle use of 3D graphics to give the look of an interactive painting.” The sport will run on high-end PCs and the Xbox Series X with a local decision of 4K at 60 frames per second, “allowing its incredible artwork to come to life.”

In the trailer, we see a younger girl, Lana, embrace a cute and chirpy black creature. The opening scene is tranquil. There’s a big moon in the background, a mild breeze blowing the tall grass, and you possibly can hear birds in the background.

However, because the digital camera zooms out we see what appears to be like to be dozens of rockets quick approaching the planet. It’s a grim, however charming juxtaposition that introduces us to its new world.

Planet of Lana is slated to come out in 2022 to PC Windows, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X in late 2022.
