Lance Barr, the chap behind the design of the long-lasting Nintendo Entertainment System and the Super Nintendo, has formally retired from the Kyoto-based firm. Mr. Barr had been with Nintendo for nearly 4 a long time and is now engaged on different smaller tasks.  Barr was tasked with redesigning the Nintendo Entertainment System and the Super Nintendo for the US market and helped create the entrance loading mechanism discovered within the Nintendo Entertainment System as a consequence of engineering necessities that had been aimed at decreasing prices at Nintendo.
