The long-awaited sequel to 2018’s God of War for the PlayStation 4, God of War: Ragnarok got its first full-length trailer at the September 9, 2021 PlayStation Showcase. The last glimpse people got of the upcoming Santa Monica Studio title was a brief teaser trailer at the PlayStation 5 Showcase in 2021.
Here is the God of War: Ragnarok trailer. It highlights some returning characters, including a much more grown-up Atreus, along with the goddess Freya. There were also plenty of characters players have yet to meet. God of War: Ragnarok will have the father-son duo racing to prevent the coming of Ragnarok, or the end of days.
The title was originally scheduled for a 2021 release, but was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The game received the award for Most Wanted Game at the 2020 Golden Joystick Awards.
God of War: Ragnarok is scheduled to be released on the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 in 2022. Players wanting to upgrade to the PlayStation 5 version will be charged a $10 fee.
