Today, The Pokémon Company International and Creatures Inc. introduced the Pokémon Trading Card Game Illustration Contest 2022, a fan artwork contest inviting Trainers from the US and Japan to showcase their inventive skills for an opportunity to be featured in an upcoming promo card for the Pokémon TCG.
Following two related contests in Japan, the Pokémon Trading Card Game Illustration Contest 2022 contest can be open to US fans for the primary time. The official contest theme is “the daily life of Pokémon,” and Trainers can start sending entries on October 13, 2021, via January 31, 2022. Winners can be introduced in summer season 2022. “With this contest, Trainers will have the unique opportunity of having their Pokémon art be viewed all over the world. I continue to be in awe of the passion, creativity, and diversity of the Pokémon community, and expanding the Pokémon Trading Card Game Illustration Contest to the US will offer exciting new perspectives of the Pokémon we know and love.”
