Internet sleuths have discovered references to an unannounced PS5 first-person shooter in the portfolio of a former PS Studios Visual Arts developer, and it’s apparently releasing in 2024. Sony has beforehand confirmed that PS Studios are collectively engaged on properly over 25 new IP, together with AAA shooters. However, we haven’t seen a single reveal but, and there’s been no indication of a launch window for any of the video games.
PS5 first-person shooter seemingly in improvement at Firewalk Studios or Deviation Games
As reported by ResetEra and PCGame About, senior character artist Frank Aliberti (who now works at 2K) lists two PS5 shooters on his ArtStation profile: a third-person co-op shooter (considered Helldivers 2) out in 2023, and a first-person shooter anticipated in 2024.
So far, we all know that Sony has one AAA shooter in improvement at Deviation Games, and though there’s no official affirmation whether or not it’s third-person or first-person, job listings counsel that it may be a first-person shooter. Then, there’s the Sony partnership with Firewalk Studios comprised of former Call of Duty and Destiny builders. This partnership was introduced in 2021 and given the event staff’s historical past, it’s extensively believed that the businesses are engaged on a AAA shooter.
Whatever the case, it appears like we would lastly get extra (official) clues about Firewalk and Deviation initiatives in 2023.
