Ghostrunner, the first-person motion platformer that swiftly hacked and slashed its manner into our hearts again in 2020, is getting a much-deserved sequel on account of arrive later this year. Revealed throughout Wednesday’s PlayStation Showcase, the trailer for Ghostrunner 2 sees the return of cybernetic ninja protagonist Jack as they tear by extra hordes of robotic adversaries.
Developer One More Level and writer 505 Games promise a refinement of the unique game’s profitable system of fast-paced melee motion and difficult, flinch-and-you’ll-miss platforming, in addition to some intriguing new surprises thrown in. The largest one? The introduction of vehicle-based fight as Jack burns rubber by highways of the post-apocalypse atop a modern high-powered motorcycle. The sequel, builders say, is about one year after the unique Ghostrunner, and sees Jack exploring the wasteland past Dharma Tower.
Ghostrunner 2 will probably be launched on PlayStation 5, Windows PC, and Xbox Series X someday in 2023.
